Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ish-bosheth, and said, Am I a dog's head that belongeth to Judah? This day do I show kindness unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David; and yet thou chargest me this day with a fault concerning this woman.
Abner was very angry about Ish-boshethâs accusation. âAm I a dogâs head who belongs to Judah? â he asked. âAll this time Iâve been loyal to the family of your father Saul, to his brothers, and to his friends and havenât betrayed you to David, but now you accuse me of wrongdoing with this woman!
Then Abner was very angry over the words of Ish-bosheth and said, âAm I a dogâs head of Judah? To this day I keep showing steadfast love to the house of Saul your father, to his brothers, and to his friends, and have not given you into the hand of David. And yet you charge me today with a fault concerning a woman.
Then Abner became very angry over Ish-boshethâs question and said, âAm I a dogâs head that belongs to Judah? Today I show kindness to the house of Saul your father, to his brothers and to his friends, and have not let you fall into the hands of David; yet today you call me to account for wrongdoing with that woman?
Abner was very angry because of what Ish-Bosheth said. So he answered, âAm I a dogâs headâon Judahâs side? This very day I am loyal to the house of your father Saul and to his family and friends. I havenât handed you over to David. Yet now you accuse me of an offense involving this woman!
Then Abner became very angry at the words of Ishbosheth, and said, â Am I a dogâs head that belongs to Judah? Today I show loyalty to the house of Saul your father, to his brothers, and to his friends, and have not delivered you into the hand of David; and you charge me today with a fault concerning this woman?
Abner was furious. âAm I some Judean dog to be kicked around like this?â he shouted. âAfter all I have done for your father, Saul, and his family and friends by not handing you over to David, is this my rewardâthat you find fault with me about this woman?
Then Abner was very angry about Ishboshethâs words, and said, âAm I a dogâs head that belongs to Judah? Today I show kindness to your father Saulâs house, to his brothers, and to his friends, and have not delivered you into the hand of David; and yet you charge me today with a fault concerning this woman!
